C o l o u r Distillation / COPENHAGEN

Next stop for The Traveling Colour Book is COPENHAGEN. A city for new inspirations and COLOUR distillation. A recompilation of stimulating photos and souvenirs including architectural delights, bicycle dynamics, food romanticism and design juxtaposition to create a moodboard that informs recent colour palettes and trends.


This city has it ALL. It has what any city dreams of having and expressing. I had the chance to cycle all the central area of Copenhagen switching my senses on; smelling a bit of history and tradition in its architecture, tasting sweet and savory colours in food and fashion; hearing acoustic design chords in concept shops. The Colour Maker

Laura is a passionate Colombian designer, artist, maker and colour hunter. Founder of her design studio and fashion label in 2004. As an alchemist she transforms raw materials into colours, like magic. She studied MA Material Futures (previously called Textile Futures) at the renown Central Saint Martins College of Design in London; taught for more than 3 years as an adjunct professor of Design. Worked in NYC with fashion designers, Narciso Rodriguez and Donna Karan; and British based label PREEN. She had the chance to participate in the 'Purpureau Vestes Symposium' in Barcelona, Spain, with her 'Colour Provenance' project and work on commissions for Roche Bobois and Nissan Design Europe.
