W O R K S / London Design Festival!

WORKS www.madebyworks.com is a collective of recently graduates from the prestigious Royal College of Art, formed in 2012. Their projects and work range from furniture, glassware, ceramics, limited edition designs and lightning.

This collective had the chance to showcase their work in the London Design Festival 2013 with a beautifully curated exhibition in the heart of Clerkenwell's design area; and previously, in the Milan Furniture Fair 2013 and the Dutch Design Week.

Designers such as Josh Bitelli (guest designer) using steel in a creative way; Lola Lely with her 'Potluck stools'; Ejing Zhang mixing Chinese craftmanship with technology; Meret Probst focusing on the craft and the materiality of glass; Silo Studio with the 'Stardust Bangles' and many others, make this exhibition an entertainment for the senses with eye-catching colours and a new palette of materials.

The Colour Maker

Laura is a passionate Colombian designer, artist, maker and colour hunter. Founder of her design studio and fashion label in 2004. As an alchemist she transforms raw materials into colours, like magic. She studied MA Material Futures (previously called Textile Futures) at the renown Central Saint Martins College of Design in London; taught for more than 3 years as an adjunct professor of Design. Worked in NYC with fashion designers, Narciso Rodriguez and Donna Karan; and British based label PREEN. She had the chance to participate in the 'Purpureau Vestes Symposium' in Barcelona, Spain, with her 'Colour Provenance' project and work on commissions for Roche Bobois and Nissan Design Europe.
